A heroic New York City cabby Joe Tracy, played by Barry Nelson, accepts an offer by the Chinese government to escort a convoy along the Burma Road. While there, he falls for a Mrs. Gail Farwood, played by Laraine Day, an ex-patriot married to a pilot for the Japanese Army.
